I am a self-taught artist and painter currently residing in Dubai, UAE. Using an impressionist style, my inspiration is gathered mostly from personal experiences, which stem from a lot of observation of nature and paying attention to its behavior in all its forms. Using a saturated cool blue palette, I am particularly drawn to the heart of our planet, the ocean.
My passion for art emerged at an early age, which I have continued to cultivate throughout my life with what feels like an unyielding desire to delve into the inner mechanism of my creativity. While growing up, I have discovered and experimented with a variety of subjects and painting mediums until I realized that oil paint keeps pulling me back to it. I now focus on oil techniques in capturing those inspired ideas.
With a creative process that is smooth, yet dynamic and fluid, I am currently concentrated on representing my impression of the endless states of the ocean. My aim is to convey serenity in movement that resonates with the viewer.
Although I have been filling my sketchbooks and canvases almost my entire life, I started participating in art fairs, group exhibitions, and art competitions in March 2018. In November 2018, I earned a finalist award in the painting category from the Global Art Awards which was held in Dubai.
The ocean is an unlimited source of inspiration for my art creations as it embodies a fluctuating environment that is constant, serene, and intimidating all at once. My artwork, therefore, explores the relationship between ceaseless shifting energies, which I consider to be prominent behaviors of the phenomenal ocean.
Using oil paint on canvas, I blend brushstrokes of different blue-mixed shades to create an interconnected impression of infinite complexities while simultaneously highlighting natural patterns of waves as depicted from the ocean’s unfathomable qualities.
As a seascape artist, I hold myself responsible to create artwork that challenges me artistically and emotionally and connects me to the world. I find it fascinating that the ocean is a healing element that nourishes our most tranquil senses no matter in which state or form it is in. It teaches us humility, harmony, courage, and gratitude. If a viewer stops for a moment to reflect on one of my paintings, then I have succeeded.
